I went someplace today that made me think about impressions. When people talk about ghosts, it is often said that the living leave a “mark” a sort of photograph of what they do and how they feel in a place. Old houses have more, and some places have so many that they are uninhabitable. (more…)

My photo-instinct. I want to capture what it is we see, as accuratly and as interestingly as possible. I feel the need to seek out things that are difficult to see, like color, and emphasize them. For instance, in night-photography which is my current fancy, unnatural color derived from so many different kinds of illumination is made more saturated and distinct. This is what it is really, truly like to me. The human eye compensated for low-light by opening the pupil and shifting to color slightly. My instinct is to compensate and exagerate. Photo-surrealism, by any means necessary.

My Mother ordered a suckling pig from her rear-view mirror yesterday. We were on our way to Winchester to photocopy a letter 2000 times, and we succeeded.
